Superstar Pens Novel

Star autobiographies are a dime a dozen these days, but supermodel-turned-TV personality Tyra Banks is joining a somewhat unusual association: celebs who have turn into writers.

Banks, 36, has just finalised a three-book agreement with Random House. The series of novels, named as “Modelland,” will be aimed at young adults. The series will feature models having extraordinary powers, however Banks has said a few characters might be centred on individuals she knows.

Although it is unusual for celebs to create works of this kind, it is far from unheard of. One little-known celebrity author is Bill O’Reilly — that’s right, the gentleman from Fox News — who in 1998 wrote a killer story called “Those Who Trespass.” Also musician Jimmy Buffett, who in 2004 published an American westerner named, “A Salty Piece of Land.”

We wish best wishes for Tyra Banks in this new adventure.
